Piper is a 13 year old Yorkie Mix. 
Despite what she has been through she is the sweetest dog and enjoys being around others.
 
We were contacted about Piper a year after she was found tied to a tree in a local park.  She was chipped and the registered owner was contacted and stated she no longer wanted Piper.
 
Piper  came to us with eye ulcers, dry eye, and abscesses in her mouth. We were able to get her in quickly at one of our vets and she was given  special drops for her eyes that had to be administered every 2 hours, between her foster home and another foster home, we were able to make sure she got those drops in a timely manner over the course of 2 weeks, not to mention a second medication she needs to take.
 
After she was cleared the next step was a much needed dental, she lost 5 more teeth, but is feeling so much better.
 
Piper will need ongoing eye medications (currently there are 2 ) and regular vet visits  for rechecks on her eyes, she does not produce any tears at all.
