Poochie found himself in a shelter in rural Georgia and needed an outlet to find his new home. So Miss Maggie May's Rescue agreed to take him in. Volunteer transport was set up to cover the 1800 miles between Georgia and Tucson. While on his journey the volunteers nicknamed Poochie "the Gentle Giant". In Texas still 2 states away he stopped at his overnight home, and his hosts fell in love with him. So Poochie stayed an extra 2 weeks to make sure it was a good fit, and we are happy to say it was a good fit. During his extended stay, he went on vacation with his soon to be new family and he has done great overall.. His new home is on some land, so he has room to romp and play.
